Blobby - Waters

This was my entree in the Second Wolverine Soft 48 Hour Development Contest. It won 1st place.

About

In Blobby Waters the player uses his/her mouse to manipulate a dynamic fluid system in order to guide little green blobby men to safety. It is a very unique game that is easy to pick up and play and can be quite addicting. Currently there are 5 levels and a bonus level, but I plan on releasing the level editor as soon as I fix some bugs and add some user-friendly functionality.

The gameplay in Blobby Waters depends a lot on the level being played. Some levels can create a frantic click-fest atmosphere where the player feels like he is trying to juggle many things at one time. On the other hand other levels are carefully laid out with boundries and traps, and the player must strategically manipulate the fluid system to create a safe pathway for the blobby men.

Requirements

Blobby Waters requires DirectX 9 to play. It hasn't been tested on a wide range of machines, but so far no compatability issues have been encountered.

Please note that all game logic was written in under 48 hours so is very messy. But the engine code is rather solid and fluid code may be useful to some.
